The word vinyasa literally means to place in a special way. However, it is more commonly used to describe a fluid style of yoga. In this sense, vinyasa refers to traditional hatha yoga poses tied together in a flow linked with breath. At Capital Fitness oga, our teachers bring their own unique flavor and sequencing to each vinyasa class. Classes will include some combination of: meditation, breath work, sun salutations, standing poses, back bends, seated poses, inversions and relaxation. Come explore the many styles of our teaching community!

During this class, your teacher will utilize props and detailed cueing, along with flow-based sequencing, to build an experience that is both intense and nourishing. For those looking for some-thing a little slower paced but still challenging ...this is the class for you.

An energetic, creative, full-spectrum approach to embodying the flow of yoga cultivated by Shiva Rea. In this practice, students will experience both classical and innovative approaches to vinyasa yoga. Yin & Yoga Nidra
Sapphire Studio - Butler St.

Yin Yoga is a meditative, slow, quiet, yet challenging practice that works with deep connective tissues of the body while relaxing your muscles. Asanas are held for 2-3 minutes each. The practice is designed to free your hips, relieve tension in your lower back and increase mobility in your shoulders.This class will be enjoyable for those who seek a meaningful, authentic and deep practice that will nourish the body and the spirit.

 Sometimes called, “lying down meditation” or “the sleep of the yogis”,  yoga nidra is a deep guided relaxation.  No experience necessary.
